Alternative energy is the wave of our future on earth. If we continue to
pay 'lipservice' to the energy crisis, nothing will change. But the more
we focus on alternative energy, the sooner we will have a solution to
this ever growing problem. I want to be working with the pioneers, not those
who fear change of any kind.
I agree with you Sharon. Living in the 'oil state', I have many friends who work for 'them'.
They are as miffed as we are about the prices. Politically, we are in a sea of 'old oilmen'.
These men made their fortunes and now their bonus' double, while we suffer. Doesn't seem
fair, but who said life was fair. I think we should all take a look at our cars and ask " do I really need
to go to the store today? Cindy can ride her bike to Mary's house.... I don't need cat litter....... etc.
I think Memorial Day made a huge statement to the oil companies... we just didn't go anywhere...
And we felt good about staying home!!! Thanks for all you do Sharon. We are all in this together.

Hi Shari! I'm not sure exactly where to point the finger, but my first inclination is to point it at the oil companies themselves. With record profits lining someone's pockets, where exactly is the excuse to raise gas prices 10 cents per week. I travel extensively, up to 700 miles per week. Oil prices really hit me where it hurts.
The oil companies may, in a way, be reacting to political tensions, war, natural disaster or whatever the flavor of the week is, but with profits like they are seeing... to me, is it really necessary, or just one excuse after another?

If I had tried to word that better there is no way I could have said it better.
