Remember back a time...,that new fangled item came along.Who was it,first to have the thing.'fore long ,forgotten.Simply burried 'neath the fact that everybody's got "it" now. Seems to me today, that all of that pomp is gone. With the dayly introductions of new gadgetry, how might one keep up with it?I don't know what half
of the items in the new "SHACK" flyer are.But then...,I still don't have a cell phone.Somethin' inherently wrong with the things, they should not have this grip on our y

There are some ironic parallels in the various concepts perceived by the human mind individually and strikingly convincing too sometimes.... The TAO of Physics talks in length about some of these parallels which i found to be very enlighting.. WELL WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH ALTERNATIVE ENERGY????? Letting the creative horses running it seems therez a parallel in how our body converts food to energy.. it is just to shift our focus from technology to application.. WHATS IN IT FOR THE END USE

I hope I won't offend anyone with my nonsense so here goes.
I have spent several years in a beautiful place developing a resort, walking the forest, looking at the clues in nature, and and trying to figure out how things work.
I have come to realize that most all of our grand ideas that we take credit for are cheap copies of things already found in nature. We sound the trumpet and say ta daaa and we just mimicked something the creator already made.
So while we spin our gadgets and apparatus abo…

The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory today released a major study of the technical, operational, and economic issues facing the integration of large amounts of wind energy into the power system.
The bottom line is: The existing grid serving most of the United States east of the Rockies would need a multi-billion dollar upgrade before it could handle even 20% wind-generated power.
The DOE's Eastern Wind Integration and Transmission Study (EWITS) evaluates the imp…

Solar panels on office buildings and homes have become almost commonplace. But windmills?
That is what SC Johnson is doing at its corporate headquarters in Racine, Wisconsin. The company has launched a wind energy pilot program with the installation of three new wind turbines. The objectives are to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and raise awareness that renewable energy is not just for factories, but also office buildings in urban settings.
The three wind turbines are located on the roo…

I am just making my invention public. It is a wind turbine that funnels the energy into the middle. It can produce energy at very low wind condition and I have some video of it working at 2 mph at only 5 feet off the ground
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwQJKDO8RXo . It is currently under review by the US Patent Office and you can recieve more information at

THE CREATION OF ENERGY FROM ALTERNATIVE ENERGY RESOURCES WILL REQUIRE THAT THE POWER BE CONDITIONED FOR USE IN THE GRID THIS USUALLY INVOLVES TRANSFORMING DC ELECTRIC CURRENT STREAMS INTO SIXTY CYCLE AC ELECTRIC CURRENT. I WAS WATCHING TV THE OTHER DAY AND THEY HAD A SHOW THAT WAS ABOUT WHAT WE CAN DO TO SAVE ELECTRICITY. ON THE SHOW THEY HAD A DEVICE THAT YOU COULD PURCHASE THAT ATTACHED TO YOUR BREAKER BOX AND AT EACH BREAKER THERE WAS A DEVICE THAT ALLOWED THE MONITORING EQUIPMENT TO DETERMIN…

Today's edition of the NY Times has some great articles in a special section called "Business of Green". Some of the articles I liked best were "Making Renewable Energy More Reliable" and a piece on floating wind turbines, which I believe hold great promise for developing renewable wind energy and providing an answer to "what do you do when the wind stops blowing"? Anybody who has lived near the ocean, especially in line of the trade winds, knows just how constant wind can be! Another fascinatin…

I find an interesting parallel in medicine in comparison with energy sector.. Alternative medical practice of Naturopathy emphasizes on the way we live.. a code of discipline rather.
